Commence introduction.
My name is Jacob
Warren, to state the obvious. I recently completed my Ph.D. in Epidemiology at The University of Miami School of Medicine in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. I also work full time at Nova Southeastern University's Behavioral Health Promotion Program working on drug use and HIV prevention interventions in at-risk populations.
My research interests include HIV prevention, cancer epidemiology (especially blood-related cancers), onset of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in otherwise healthy individuals, and the development of SLE (lupus) in adolescents and young adults. I am also interested in the applications of the discrete modeling tool of Markov chains to epidemiology.
If you want to know anything else about my professional life, see my CV, which at present is shamefully out of date.
End shameless plug.

If you're looking for a way you can help win the battle with cancer, please visit
Grid.Org's United Devices Cancer Research Project. There, you can download a screensaver that will, only
when the screensaver is running, run theoretical models that help find a cure for cancer. Please donate this time when you're not even using your computer.
The life you save may be your own.
